    Categories of membership and fees for 2023

    Membership is for the calendar year, with renewals and enrolments open in November for the following year. You can join, renew and enrol (subject to available vacancies) at any time during the year.

    Note:  By becoming a member of U3A Banyule, you agree to abide by the Constitution and any Terms and Conditions or Policies of U3A Banyule.

     

    * An Associate Member must currently be a full member of another U3A and show proof of this membership, e.g. fee receipt, member ID and name of other U3A..  Associate Members cannot vote at the AGM or hold office on the Committee of Management.

    Online through MyU3A

     JOIN US

    Click the link above to go to the online Membership Application form 

    • Provide your personal details and create a password, which you will use to login.

    • It is important to provide an email address for receiving communications from us. Also ensure that you provide details for someone who can be contacted in case of emergency.

    • Once you have filled out the online form, click on the Commit button to see your Membership status, which will include your Membership ID number. This number and the password you have created are your login details.

    • Pay your membership fee online using your credit card and the U3A Banyule eWay payment gateway. This is the preferred method as it enables immediate access to course enrolment and reduces work and cash handling for the office volunteers**. 

    •  Once you have paid, you will automatically be returned to your members page and your payment will be credited to your member account. 

      A step-by-step guide to making payments using eWay can be viewed here. There are no additional fees for paying by credit card. 

    Online through MyU3A

    MEMBER  LOGIN

    Click the link above to go to MyU3A, enter your Member ID and password, follow the prompts

    • Review the personal details in your record and update them if necessary. Remember to check that your email address is correct and to provide details for someone who can be contacted in case of emergency.

    • Click on the Renew membership button and follow the prompts 

    • Use your credit card and the U3A Banyule eWay payment gateway to  pay your fee, Once you have paid, you will automatically be returned to MyU3A and your payment will be credited to your MyU3A account. 

    • Once you have renewed your annual membership and paid the annual fee, you can enrol online in the available courses, activities and excursions.

    • A step-by-step guide to making payments using eWay can be viewed here. There are no additional fees for paying by credit card. 

    Through the U3A Banyule Office

    • Download and complete a  Membership Application Form and mail or bring it to the office with payment - cash, cheque or receipt if you have used Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). Processing may take up to two weeks**. 

    Through the U3A Banyule Office

    • Visit the office with your Member details and payment  -  cash, cheque or receipt if you have used Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).  You can also mail it in (not cash!) Processing may take up to two weeks.

    ** Although your application needs to be formally approved by the Committee of Management, once payment has been received/processed, you can enrol and attend courses and activities. If your application is not approved, you will be notified as soon as possible and a refund provided.

     

    Our Privacy Policy sets out members' privacy rights and documents the framework that U3A Banyule will apply when collecting, storing and using members' personal information. This policy indicates that U3A Banyule may take images (photo or video) of members for use in newsletters, the website and other U3A Banyule publications. If you do not give permission for your image to be used, inform the Secretary, U3A Banyule and/or the recorder at the time of the image recording.
