Volunteering is a rewarding, social and inclusive experience. We encourage and need members to share their special knowledge, skills and interests by offering to volunteer.

| Committee of Management Support Roles | There are several positions of responsibility that support the organisational aspects of our U3A, eg Health and Safety, Membership, Technology. We also have several Sub Committees that may be of interest. See About Us/Committee of Management on this website. |
| Office Volunteer | In the U3A Banyule office for two hours per month, from 10am-12 noon on a weekday (excluding Public Holidays and the end-of-year break during December/January). Office Volunteers respond to inquiries from members and potential members about joining our U3A and enrolling in courses and activities. Training is provided in the use of office equipment and systems, eg the MyU3A membership data base. |
| On Call | On an occasional basis, eg helping to collate material; assisting on a promotional booth; providing a plate of food for a social event; assisting with the organisation and setting up of social events. |
| Class Leader/ Representative | Assisting a Tutor as required, eg keeping the attendance roll; setting up the room; contacting class members. |
| Tutor | Offering a range of options such as a single session, eg giving a talk, leading an excursion; a short series of sessions; ongoing Semester-long sessions, eg running a language class, gentle exercise or dance class, see Program/Courses and Activities on this website for more examples of our offerings. Various resources are also provided to assist and support Tutors in conducting their sessions, see For Tutors on this website. |
